Description
NHS North East London is seeking a visionary and compassionate leader to serve as Chief Executive of its Integrated Care Board (ICB). This is a pivotal moment for our system, as we embark on a journey of transformation to deliver more equitable, person-centred care across our diverse communities, and shift to a strategic commissioning model.
Chief Executive – NHS North East London ICB
The communities of North East London are rich in diversity, resilience and potential, with vibrant aspiration and deep history. North East London Integrated Care Board (ICB) works with the over two million people who make up those communities to strategically co-commission services across the region, also working in productive partnership with a range of organisations to improve outcomes and tackle health inequalities.
With the Government’s three strategic shifts set out in the 10 year plan, the role of ICB’s is fundamentally changing, and we are looking to appoint a new Chief Executive at this pivotal and transformational moment. The role will offer the chance to lead the transformation of the ICB as an organisation, shape the future of what strategic commissioning should look like, and ensure that the ICB is at the forefront of change, all focused on serving the best interests of their local communities.
This is set to be a challenging, but exciting role, and we are looking for someone who knows that their own values fit well with ours, and who is enthused by the prospect of being able to drive this change. We are looking for someone with substantial Board-level experience, preferably as a Chief Executive in the health and care sector, or from a similarly complex and regulated environment.
We have sought the views of our staff as to what are the most important aspects for them, with this highlighting the need for compassion, authenticity, an empowering and open approach, and personal integrity all being critical given the ICB’s culture and values.
If the opportunity to be at the vanguard of shaping the future of strategic commissioning for one of the most diverse and vibrant areas of England excites you, then we would be delighted to receive an application from you.
